My brother began his military career in college, which meant many roommates, friends, and fellow midshipman visiting my parent's house in California for spring and summer breaks. Once graduated and stationed in San Diego, Ryan brought his friend Bob home for Thanksgiving one year. We like to joke that he never left, but the truth is, Bob has been a part of our family ever since.
Bob has managed to form a relationship with each individual member of our family. Amy and I were regular dinner guests, Joe was his regular fishing buddy, he would call my mom just to chat, swing by the shop to have a beer with my dad, and was even in Joe's wedding.
What we all love about Bob is that he will always tell you how it is. He's also great about doing everything full-force, big, all-in, a go-big-or-go-home kind of way. No matter what it is.
And thats why this juice will always remind me of him. With Bob being in the Navy, the fitness aspect of things are strict. I don't know the details of his juice diets, but I do know he got me on the green juice train. They are refreshing, delicious, and a good way to start the morning. I like mine over ice. Enjoy!
2 cucumbers, washed & peeled
4 green apples, washed, cut in half
3 large handfuls washed spinach
1 inch piece peeled ginger
Wash and prepare fruit and veggies as described above. Run each through your juicer as described by the manufactures instructions. I prefer green juice poured over ice.
